How Virtual counseling and communication works

Initial Meeting and Profile Creation

The student schedules an appointment with a Global Degrees counselor virtually. During the first meeting, the counselor conducts a comprehensive discussion to understand the student’s academic background, standardized test scores, English proficiency, financial commitment, career goals, and aspirations.
A detailed profile is created, highlighting the student’s strengths, preferences, and requirements.

University Selection

Based on the student’s profile and career goals, a personalized list of suitable universities is compiled. The counselor discusses the options virtually with the student, considering factors such as location, course offerings, financial feasibility, and university reputation. Together, they finalize a list of universities to apply to.

Document Collection and Verification

The student is guided on the necessary documents required for the application process in virtual counselling. Global Degrees verifies and collects academic transcripts, passport copy, financial documents, resume, letters of recommendation, and any other supporting materials needed for the application.

Application Submission

Global Degrees submits the application to the selected universities on behalf of the student. The application is carefully reviewed to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission.

Follow-up and Additional Documentation

Global Degrees follows up with the universities to monitor the progress of the applications. Any additional documents requested by the universities are promptly collected and submitted to meet their requirements.

Application Decision

Once the universities make a decision regarding the application, the outcome is communicated to Global Degrees. Global Degrees relays the decision to the student, providing detailed information about the acceptance, scholarship offers, and any other relevant details virtually.

University Confirmation and Visa Process

The student confirms the university they wish to attend, and Global Degrees initiates the process to issue an I-20, the Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status. Global Degrees assists the student in scheduling a visa interview appointment, guiding them through the completion of the DS-160 form, and offering comprehensive visa interview counseling.

Predeparture Briefing and Support

After the F-1 student visa is granted, Global Degrees provides a predeparture briefing to prepare the student for their journey to the U.S. Assistance is provided to help the student connect with others who are already at the university, fostering a supportive network even before arrival.

Post-Arrival Coordination

The student travels to the U.S., and any post-arrival needs are coordinated with the university. Global Degrees remains in touch with the student to ensure a smooth transition and address any concerns that may arise during their initial days at the university.
